Criteria of Anubandh ?

Age, need, physical and medical status.

Is admission refused on any ground ?

Yes, if someone is suffering from incurable contagious disease like advanced stage of TB – which may spread to other fragile old age inmates and drug addicts .

Age Limit ?

Minimum 60 yrs.

Is Anubandh for a particular caste, creed, religion or any particular class – poor, middle ,elite ?

No - open to all deserving.

What are the financial means ?

No charges.

Do you charge anything from inmates or totally free of charge?

No charges.

Is it run by some trust ?

Yes, members of family.

Tax benefits?

Under Section 80 G of Income Tax Act.

Building Details ?

Built in an area of 13500 sq. feet & has 7 large halls, 2 small rooms, medical dispensary , a large kitchen, staff quarters, office, veranda and a large lawn.

Number of inmates ?

At Present – 75 inmates.

How do inmates pass their day ?

Apart from the time spent on the daily chores they watch TV, DVD, read books, listen to radio, play indoor games like cards, carrom, chess etc., and sing bhajans together.

Facilities provided in rooms?

Attached toilets ,TV, room coolers, fans, almirahs, bed side tables, utensils etc.

Medical facilities ?

We have a primary medical aid room, well equipped stock of regular medicines, which is supervised by a doctor , who is helped by a male nurse. Doctor visits everyday and is on call 24*7.

In case of comprehensive medical assistance required ?

The patients are shifted to private hospitals with our caretakers.

What happens in case of death?

Families are informed, if they do not claim the body , we perform last rites as per the religious belief of the deceased and ashes are religiously offered in PUSHKAR lake.

Do relatives / familiy members visit ?

Seldom

How do the sufferers reach Anubandh?

Brought by family members, neighbours and police.

Do they miss their family?

Yes - often.

Why do people come , reason behind?

Family problems, not being able to adjust with children, passing away of spouse, no children , no family . Physically dependent on other people & above all when one parts away with his/her assets or distributes his/her wealth among children.

Relationship with other inmates?

Usually cordial and helping.

Do you accept donation cheque or cash?

Yes

Any aid from Govtverment or NGOs?

No - Not till date.

Are the caretakers salaried or do they voluntarily serve?

Caretakers and doctors all are salaried.

Other Activities?

We organise bhajans, Sunder-Kaand, celebrate all festivals like Holi, Diwali, Dussehra, Rakhi, Gangaur and birthday parties and even we celebrated the marriage ceremony of our only son Abeer with Sonia at Anubandh to make the occasion a memorable one.

Future Plans?

Wish to expand building ,staff etc. to accommodate more people.
